To travel is to learn. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles – this category focuses on all of the trips I have taken and had the good fortune to document.
We did it again (and we will do it another time after this).
We rented a pontoon boat on Lake George and had ourselves a little adventure thanks to Lake George Island Boat rentals (shout out to Captain Dave in this video).
The weather on this day was not the best… it was grey and cold… but we made the best of it and had a good time anyway!
My family and friends booked a river tubing adventure in the Lake George Area.
The weather was nice (which wasn’t the case for most of the week) and it was a relaxing time.
We stopped by Hazlitt Winery (with Rayla the dog) to sample some local wines and ciders.
No winery tour would be complete without eating some cheeses and other treats.

Most of these places are dog-friendly too – which was a nice treat for Rayla.
My friends and family had the chance to rent a boat on Keuka Lake.
We coasted around, saw some awesome houses, did some swimming, and stopped at a bodega.

My friends and I hiked a few waterfall trails around the Finger Lakes (which I smooshed together in this video).
We visited:
The end of the Watkins Glen hike featured a ton of stairs which kicked our butts, but we were glad to finish it. Taughannock Falls was flat, easy, and pet friendly.
We spent the week at Seneca Lake (NY Finger Lakes) and I decided to do a tour of our house(s). People have been telling me they want to see the houses we stay at… so… your wish is my command.
We stayed in Hector, NY – the property had two units – a 3 bedroom house and a smaller cottage on top of the boat house.
Seneca Lake was great, the local breweries and vineyards were very close and easily accessible.
