My friends and I vacationed at a cabin we first discovered 14 years ago in Thurmont, Maryland. We had some drinks, enjoyed the local foods, and did a few hikes at Catoctin Mountain Park.
The New Kung-Fu (Un-Edited)
A thought experiment encouraging office workers to simplify. My focus is on procurement, but this video applies to any job.
Kung-Fu is the perfect analogy because evolution is mandatory. There is always someone pushing to improve and innovate. Failure to adapt = defeat.
Note: I have two versions of The New Kung-Fu, this one is a little edgy (PG-13 if you will). The more “professional” version can be viewed at The Source.
Genaray LED-6800 Light Review
I purchased the Genaray LED 6800 light via a B&H daily sale last week and wanted to do a review since there isn’t much information online about it.
It gets the job done, but there are some cheaper elements to the design and connection points that need additional consideration.
I also used this video as an opportunity to test out different shots within my house to film videos.
Lens Review: Sony 18-105MM F4 Zoom
I recently purchased a used Sony 18-105MM F4 zoom lens for APS-C cameras on Ebay and decided to do a proper review.
I test both video and pictures as well as compared the performance to a 35MM F1.8.
It is a well-built lens and a decent performer, but it has some issues in the corners, it isn’t next level crispy, but what do you want for an 8-year-old zoom lens?

Camera Purchasing Advice
I made so many mistakes buying cameras and lenses that I thought I would make a video (hopefully) helping you avoid the same pitfalls.
In this video I discuss:
- How to save $$$ on camera equipment
- The first type of lens you should buy
- Features that are important for someone starting out (not just fancy specs)
NJ Covid-19 Vaccine Experience
I was lucky to receive the COVID-19 vaccination (first shot) at the Gloucester County Mega Vaccination Center (Rowan @ GCC) this week.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to make a post about it, but I thought it would benefit people to know how the lines operated. While this is a South Jersey specific post, I think some of the tips are universal.
Overall, it was a very smooth experience and to-date I have experienced no side effects outside of a slightly sore arm (no worse than the flu shot).
