Vacationing in Chestertown, NY

My family and friends rented a house in Chestertown, NY near Loon Lake. In addition to having some fun on Lake George, we did some hiking near the lake, took a dip in the lake, and visit a weekly farmer’s market.

We tried to hit up the local business as much as possible and we found some nice options. Shout out to Main Street Ice Cream – very nice people and the Odd Duck

I tried to find spots to use the drone as well… because why not?

Lake George Boating Adventure

The second part of our vacation was in the Lake George area of New York.

We thought it would be fun to rent a boat on our own and tour the lake but they were all sold out. We called several places and then thought to get a boating tour. We were lucky that somebody cancelled (thought it was going to rain, but the weather ended up being perfect).

It was a fantastic day. The water temperature was 80 degrees, our captain Jonathan knew all the cool points on the lake to swim and do cliff jumps and we had a great time.

Vacation Vlog: OBX House Tour

People always ask “how was the house?” when you go away, so I always try to film a little bit so people can get a feel for the place.

Whenever you do a HomeAway or AirBNB, you never know what you are walking into, but this place was perfectly comfortable and clean.

I might also add that it had the best AC in any house or hotel I have ever stayed at.

Gorcka Got A Haircut

My friend Gorcka’s hair has been out of control since the pandemic started. He kept saying he wanted me to give him a haircut on vacation… and I did just that.

The only problem was… we didn’t have any of the right equipment.

Let’s see how it turned out.

Vacation Vlog: July OBX Road Trip

The family took a trip to the Outer Banks, North Carolina for some relaxation and time at the beach. Ben and Gorcka spent their time playing video games and we all ate too much.

Things didn’t start off so well as we hit massive traffic (turning our 6.5 hour road trip to 11+ hours). Ben and the puppy handled it pretty well, but I was ready to turn around.

Once we got there, we did do some very sandy activities. Very Sandy.
