I was lucky to receive the COVID-19 vaccination (first shot) at the Gloucester County Mega Vaccination Center (Rowan @ GCC) this week.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to make a post about it, but I thought it would benefit people to know how the lines operated. While this is a South Jersey specific post, I think some of the tips are universal.
Overall, it was a very smooth experience and to-date I have experienced no side effects outside of a slightly sore arm (no worse than the flu shot).
I had this idea of a plague of locusts descending on a farm over and over again… does the farmer keep trying, keep replanting? Or does there come a time when you pack up and move on?

I haven’t made anything for this channel in a few months, so I wanted to explore this idea with my stock footage subscriptions and see what would happen.
I did a little year-end holiday gift guide because why the heck not? I came up with options that are both budget and baller. I specifically sought out practical gifts as well as a few fun ones.

PowerDirector University published a how-to on creating a Marvel-style intro last week.
Following along really helped me step up my video editing skills… I learned so much and everyone in the house likes Rayla’s baller intro.

A B&H Holiday gift guide turned me on to Comica’s BoomX-D wireless mic set.
The BoomX-D comes with one receiver, two wireless mics, 2 lav mic attachments, two dead-cats for outdoor wind reduction, and all the cables you need.
Once I figured out the settings, the sound was pretty good… actually better than good. The wireless option also had great range and I was able to move away from the receiver (and go to a different floor) without losing a connection or audio quality.
No talking, just puppy pictures.
Just took some quick pics with my new 85mm F 1.8 Viltrox lens. I got a very good deal (on an already cheap lens) via Amazon for Black Friday (the sale is still on for Cyber Monday).
I like the fast picture taking and the background separation. Rayla was not the best subject, but she is cute. Looking forward to testing the lens with a participant that sits still.
