A new year and a new Bokksu Box. The January 2022 Bokksu Box (Kanto New Year theme) was sesame and chocolate heavy with a dash of Strawberry.
Allison and Ben made their way through this box and Ben continued his trend of preferring savory over sweet.
The December 2021 Bokksu Snack Box arrived at the house last week and Ben and Allison did their monthly review. The theme was “Hokkaido Holiday”.
December in Japan seems to be connected with corn? There was a strong corn theme this month that did not go over well with the reviewers (can you say “corn tea”?).
The big winner was the apple gummy snacks and the white chocolate covered potato chips.
This month’s Bokksu box focused on the difference Japanese prefectures… so it was a random assortment of snacks from across all of Japan. The general theme seemed to be citrus flavors.
I can’t say this one was my favorite, but it had a few goodies to enjoy.
This month’s Bokksu is “Kansai Autumn” themed. Ben and Allison ripped through the snacks and offered their opinions. It was another matcha heavy box which yielded mixed results.
Note: Kansai is a region in the south of Honshu, Japan’s main island. In its center is the city of Kyoto, Japan’s capital from 794 to 1869.
I took my son on a long weekend to SeaQuest in Trumbull, CT to have a live sloth experience.
Ben was able to pet and feed Flash the two-toed sloth and watch another one…sleep (lol).
SeaQuest had other fish and animals available for interactions and it was a good time.
