Delaware Boat Tour – July 2024

My family (and friends) spent the week hanging out in the Bethany Beach and Dewey Beach areas. Allison rented a pontoon boat to make up for the failures of the last two times we got on a boat in this area. This time the weather cooperated and we had a nice day.

It was a big boat… so we needed to invite some friends and family to fill it up!

Water Fun at the Finger Lakes

We rented an evening boat at #senecalake for some stargazing (first time on the water at night). It was a nice time.

I also took out my GoPro for an afternoon of swimming at #canandaigualake.

I tossed in some lake facts to make the video more interesting for non-family members.

Lake George: Boating Adventure Part 2

We scheduled TWO boating trips during our stay at Lake George this year (book at least a month in advance).

It was fortunate that we did schedule two trips because the first tour had terrible weather. This trip was much better and it gave us a chance to do some cliff jumping.

Captain Joe did a great job and I highly recommend Lake George Island Boat Tours (518-469-8745).

Note: All filming was captured on a GoPro 7

Lake George: 2021 Pontoon Adventure Part 1

We did it again (and we will do it another time after this).

We rented a pontoon boat on Lake George and had ourselves a little adventure thanks to Lake George Island Boat rentals (shout out to Captain Dave in this video).

The weather on this day was not the best… it was grey and cold… but we made the best of it and had a good time anyway!

Cape May: Looking For Ghosts

This vlog features two attractions (kind of). The first is the location of a sunk concrete ship built in 1919.

The SS Atlantus was only in operation for 2 years before it was decommissioned. In 1926, the ship was scheduled to be sunk to help create a ferry dock. But in June of that year a storm broke the ship free and it ultimately sank in the wrong position.

After visiting the Atlantus, we attempted to find the Cape May “Ghost Tracks” at Higbee Beach. The tracks were not visible for over 8 decades, but were rediscovered in 2014.
