People gave me a hard time last year for not doing a proper tour of the rental house we stayed at. Since we stayed at the same place this year, I made it a priority to do a walk-through.
Lake George: Boating Adventure Part 2
We scheduled TWO boating trips during our stay at Lake George this year (book at least a month in advance).
It was fortunate that we did schedule two trips because the first tour had terrible weather. This trip was much better and it gave us a chance to do some cliff jumping.
Captain Joe did a great job and I highly recommend Lake George Island Boat Tours (518-469-8745).
Note: All filming was captured on a GoPro 7
Hanging Out In Chestertown (NY)
Our base of operations during our Lake George vacation was Chestertown, NY.
I like Chestertown better than Lake George proper because there are less tourists, less traffic. The house we stayed at had everything you could want in walking distance (breakfast spot, a few bars, and a grocery store).
This is some footage of us hanging around the town and at the house and hitting up our favorite local shop the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor (the owner and staff are the nicest people).
Lake George: 2021 Pontoon Adventure Part 1
We did it again (and we will do it another time after this).
We rented a pontoon boat on Lake George and had ourselves a little adventure thanks to Lake George Island Boat rentals (shout out to Captain Dave in this video).
The weather on this day was not the best… it was grey and cold… but we made the best of it and had a good time anyway!
Lake George: River Tubing Adventure
My family and friends booked a river tubing adventure in the Lake George Area.
The weather was nice (which wasn’t the case for most of the week) and it was a relaxing time.
Lake George Boating Adventure
The second part of our vacation was in the Lake George area of New York.
We thought it would be fun to rent a boat on our own and tour the lake but they were all sold out. We called several places and then thought to get a boating tour. We were lucky that somebody cancelled (thought it was going to rain, but the weather ended up being perfect).
It was a fantastic day. The water temperature was 80 degrees, our captain Jonathan knew all the cool points on the lake to swim and do cliff jumps and we had a great time.
