Osmo Pocket 3: Mic 2 Firmware Update + Wide Angle Test!

πŸŽ₯ Welcome back to Day 2 of testing the DJI Osmo Pocket 3! In this video, I’m focusing on some key improvements and new gear I’ve been experimenting with for better vlogging.

🎀 First up, the DJI MIC 2! After a crucial firmware update and adjusting its positioning closer to my mouth, the audio quality is drastically improved. Hear the difference for yourself! I’m sharing my settings and tips for optimal sound.

πŸ” I also tested the Neewer wide angle lens adapter for the Osmo Pocket 3. While it does provide a slightly wider field of view, I did encounter some lens flare. We’ll take a close look at the pros and cons and whether it’s worth it for your vlogging setup.

πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ To make my outdoor walk and vlogging experience more comfortable, I used my trusty MantisPod. This extended my reach and made handholding much easier, resulting in smoother and more dynamic shots.

πŸ› οΈ In this video, you’ll see:

  • Real-world audio tests with the updated DJI MIC 2.
  • A detailed look at the Neewer wide angle lens adapter and its effects.
  • How the MantisPod enhances vlogging with the Osmo Pocket 3.

PGYTECH MantisPod 2.0 Review

I have been using the original PGYTECH MantisPod Pro for several months and liked the flexibility and ease of going vertical, but I felt that it was a little… structurally unsound for bigger cameras.

After buying the small PGYTECH remote for the Sony ZV-1, I learned about the MantisPod V2 which features a spot to house the remote. The combination reminded me of the Sony vlogger tripod (GPVPT2BT) but the MantisPod is cheaper and does more things.

This video compares the differences between version 1 and version 2 and why V2 is perfect for the ZV-1. It also highlights how this tripod fits perfectly in my 3L man-purse.

My Man Purse (OneGo 3L)

I bought a 3L PGYTech OneGo Solo 3L sling bag a few weeks ago for daily carry functions. I find myself leaving the house without ear buds and other useful things and I am hoping this small bag helps me remember to bring these items with me.

PGYTECH OneMo 25L Camera Bag

After accidently leaving my drone at home for a family vacation, I decided a needed a camera bag just big enough to hold a camera, 2 lenses, and all of the drone equipment…

Enter the PGYTECH OneMo – a 25L bag that can fit all of the film equipment I need with the smallest footprint possible.

PGYTech OneGo 10L vs. Peak Design 10L Sling

I recently purchased a PGYTech OneGo 10L shoulder bag with the hopes of being able to fit a Mavic Air 2 drone, the controller, batteries, a Sony A7C (with lens) and one additional lens in one small bag.

I also compare this bag to the Peak Design 10L Sling (v1). Since they are both 10L, they fit pretty much the same amount of gear. The hope was the OneGo 10L’s vertical design would give it an advantage.
